CT Introductions - Part 2

Good morning.

Today we are introducing Kerryn Fry, Kylie Symons and Mel Nunn.

Kerryn Fry

Hi, my name is Kerryn, I am an Adelaide girl living in the suburbs with my fiancée Shane and son, Harrison. I was originally dragged into scrapbooking by my Mother 8 years ago, not really any serious creating for the first couple of years. In 2007, I joined my first online forum and have not looked back since, now it is definitely an obsession.

I am currently designing for Scrapbook Savvy and Words or Whatever Chipboard, but in the past I have created for Bella Blvd, 123 Challenge, Kraft It Up, Scrap the Boys and a few American online stores.

It's a privilege to join the Stuck?! team and be amongst such awesome talent. I am really looking forward to getting started.

Kylie Symons

I live in a small town in Australia called Tumut. I have lived my whole life basically in this country town and I love the peace and serenity which surrounds us. I am married to my school friend sweetheart Andrew and we share three beautiful daughters- Kayley,  Emma and Bridget. I have been
scrapping since 2007 and I love a great challenge and enjoy trying different techniques. I do like to use bright and bold colours on my layouts which might make me stand out from the rest-LOL . I love to cut up pp and use a lot of chipboard and embellishments on my layouts. I do mainly scrap 12x12.

After taking a break from scrapbooking for 18 months, I have been back at the craft for the past 6 months. Previously I have been a member of the American Crafts DT, Elle's Studio DT, Scrapboxx, and Lime Tart DT. Currently I am on the support team for Kim Archer's @home site and her Etzcetera Magazine as the food editor and scrapbooking contributor. I have had a number of publications in all of the Australian Magazines, was a Scrapbooking Memories Master in 2007, and A for Keeps Elite team member in 2008. I have conducted online classes and tutorials, and have done a sketch challenge for Scrapbook Creations to be published soon.

CT Introductions - Part 1

Let's start getting to know our new Autumn / Winter Team a little bit better.

Over the next few days, I will be introducing a few of them each day. Today we are meeting Atsuko Hashimoto, Celeste Vermeend and Farheen Suhail.

Atsuko Hashimoto
Hello there everyone!! My name is Atsuko and I am from Japan. I live in Okayama (kinda central Japan geographically) with my loving family containing my ever so cool hubby and 2 kids. The oldest is a boy at 12 and his sister is at 6.

I think my favorite design style is simple but I love multi layers for added dimensions. One thing I never do without is to write a journal on every pages to keep memories more fresh every time we look at them.

I have loved being on the design team for 'Stuck?! Sketches and I am really excited to have the opportunity to do a second term here

http://kirakirascrapbooking.cocolog-nifty.com/

And one of her favourite layouts:

Celeste Vermeend
I have been scrapbooking for almost 9 years. I first scrapbooked my baby twins premature birth and their stay in hospital. It was a stressful and emotional time and I felt I needed to document it more creatively and that led me to my local scrapbook store. The rest is history! I am now a mother to five. Having had two more little ones after my twins and oldest daughter. I live a busy and chaotic life that I wouldn’t have any other way – most of the time! My love of scrapbooking eventually led to photography. And I now run a small business from home and I love it. Up until my last two children were born I had been regularly published in all three Australian scrapbooking magazines. I have held a DT position on the now defunct For Keeps magazine. I was also a Scrapbooking Memories Master in 2008. I no longer submit my layouts for publishing preferring instead to enter online challenges. I feel honoured to be a part of the Stuck Sketches design team and am very grateful for the opportunity to step back into a designing role after quite a long absence.

And one of her favourite layouts:

Farheen Suhail
Hello everyone!! My name is Farheen and I live in Northern New Jersey, USA (which is very close to New York City), with my husband and my 4-yr old boy. I am an Engineer in computers by profession and was into software development but currently a SAHM.

Scrapbooking is a craft where I can blend art with photo and design, and use it for capturing all the cherished moments in a unique way.

I love scrapbooking because it reflects all the passion I have for arts since childhood.

I recently started scrapbooking so have not developed any style yet but I mostly love doing mixed media layouts using paint, sprays/mists, masking, and stamping. I also enjoy a bit of grunge on the layouts.

I am so excited to be joining my first DT.  Stuck sketches are wonderful and inspiring and the DT is incredible. I am really honored and excited to be part of it and very grateful for the wonderful opportunity it has given to me.
