December 15 2015 Challenge Featured Layout #2 & Happy Holidays!

Before we get to today's featured layout, based on the December 15th sketch we would like to take a minute to wish each of you a very Happy Holiday season from all of us at Stuck?! Sketches!

And now, we'd like to recognize our generous sponsors.

A big thank you goes out to  Lindy's Stamp Gang for sponsoring this challenge with a $25.00 gift certificate for one lucky participant.

http://www.lindystampgang.com//
Lindy's luscious luster is all uniquely two-toned! With vibrant shimmery sprays, flat sprays, vintage sprays, embossing powder and lots more! Lindy’s Stamp Gang is the creative” baby” of Lindy Plakinger. She passed away in 2008 after bravely battling illness. She was a self-made cartoonist, loved drawing, crafting, designing new products, and creating her funny cartoon characters! One of her greatest joys was traveling to stamping and scrapbooking conventions across the US, demo-ing to her heart’s content with her sister, and giggle partner, Vicki! Lindy’s Stamp Gang will continue, as was her hope, and dream. Her husband and daughter have taken over the company keeping her creativity alive. Tracey, (her daughter), has always been a “jar filler” in the background of Lindy’s Stamp Gang, but is now trying to fill some incredible shoes!

For more Lindy’s Stamp Gang please visit:

AND thank you to ScrapMatts, who is sponsoring this challenge with 2 large pieces of chipboard for a second lucky participant.

ScrapMatts is a place to learn, share ideas and view some great design concepts, while offering Australian Made, Laser Cut Chipboard, original shapes and designs, made to compliment your scrapbooking pages or your card making projects

Here's another look at the sketch:

Please link up your layouts over in the sidebar by December 29th to be in the running for one of our prizes. All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

When linking your layouts, please make sure it is linked to the specific post your layout is in, not your blog as a whole as it can be hard for our team to find your layout, especially if you blog often. You can also link from any gallery including Facebook and Flickr (though we may not be able to comment in all forums).

Feel free to combine this sketch challenge with other non-sketch challenges, such as colour challenges.

Please post a link back to Stuck?! Sketches on your blog entry for our challenge. We would also love for you to share the sketch!

And now without further ado we will get started with the challenge, here is your sketch....

This week we have another fabulous guest designer joining us. Please join me in welcoming Sara to Stuck?! Sketches!

I will let Sara tell you a bit about herself....

"I’m so happy to be guesting here today. My name is Sara and I come from Finland, Europe. I live with my husband and two kids close to the sea. I have a day job as a manager in a small insurance company. In 2009 when my oldest was born, I felt I needed a hobby to balance life and I found scrapbooking. I enjoy scrapping in many different styles, ranging from shabby to clean & simple and mixed media. We are in the process of building our new house, so a lot of creativity and time goes towards interior design and DIY projects right now. Since I suck at drawing and painting, scrapbooking is the perfect way to make art and still the end result is enjoyable. I’m a layout person, but I also like creating and experimenting with tags, cards and art journal spreads. I hope you feel inspired after today’s reveal!"

Here is Sara's beautiful layout based on our sketch.

Thank you for joining u sSara !

Now lets have a look at our gorgeous DT reveals, it always thrills me to pieces to see how each of them brings my sketches to life!

December 1 2015 Challenge Featured Layout #2

It's time to highlight another wonderful page submitted by one of our readers based on our first December sketch challenge. I think this one will make you feel like celebrating. First, allow us to recognize our generous sponsors.

A big thank you goes out to May Arts Ribbon for sponsoring this challenge. They're offering one $25.00 gift certificate to their online store.
https://www.mayarts.com/
May Arts was founded in the early 1980’s in Riverside, Connecticut. The original products were high-end silk flowers imported from Taiwan, which were decorated using quality ribbons. The decorative ribbons proved so popular among customers that the business gradually evolved into a dedicated ribbon wholesaler. As a family-owned and operated business, May Arts began a long-standing tradition of qualityaffordability and exceptional customer service. We are dedicated to carrying on this same tradition by offering high quality products at competitive prices. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is always happy to answer your questions or to assist you in placing your order.

And thank you to Evalicious, who is sponsoring this challenge with one $20.00 gift certificate to the Evalicious online store.

http://evalicious.bigcartel.com/
Evalicious is a small home based company in Canada that offers scrapbooking paper tags, puffy stickers, wood veneer, clear/rubber stamps and more.

Jinny is our featured artist today. Her birthday page about her youngest's first is bursting with happy color and details, and it's based on a flipped version of our sketch. Roar!
