Our Weekly Feature and Reminder

Hello friends!

We have had so many great entries already and it is always tough to choose just one to feature every week. I thought I would share a little bit about how I choose the 'featured pages'.

I like to choose different styles so that we inspire all types of scrappers.  For me personally, I have my own style that I typically stick to, but I find so much inspiration from all types of layouts, whether it is a technique, a unique colour combination, a gorgeous handmade embellishment or the balance of the page in general - inspiration is everywhere! So these are the things that I look for when I finally decide which layout is going to be the feature of the week. And sometimes, I get a message from one of our amazing DT that says "Laura, you need to featured this layout...."! I love it when they take the tough choices out of my hands! ;)

So without further delay, today's feature is Jackie George:

I loved the cheerful colour combination and the painted effect down the right hadn side.Thank you for playing along Jackie, be sure to grab yoru featured badge!

Here is a reminder of our generous sponsors for our very first challenge of 2015! A big thank you goes out to  ScrapMatts, for sponsoring our January 1st  challenge, they are offering 2 large pieces of chipboard to one lucky participant!

ScrapMatts is a place to learn, share ideas and view some great design concepts, while offering Australian Made, Laser Cut Chipboard, original shapes and designs, made to compliment your scrapbooking pages or your card making projects

AND thank you to Big Picture Classes who is offering a $30.00 gift certificate to a second lucky participant.

We're here to help you tell your story and leave your mark in fun and meaningful ways. Scrapbooking is our lifeblood—it gives us our strength and vitality as a company. We recognize that there are as many creative pursuits as there are people. For this reason, we offer top-notch online education in a variety of fields and formats.

When you learn to value your unique perspective, your personal expression becomes art.
This is why we approach everything we teach with a guilt-free attitude that opens you up to inspiration in your everyday life and allows you to focus on what matters most. We view a successful class not by the mastering of a technique or by completion of a project but by the impact of the creative process—we view success as our students experiencing an "aha" moment or making a "big picture" connection that will last a lifetime.

Just to remind you, this is our current sketch!

You can see what the design team and our guest designer created with this sketch here.

Please link up your layouts over in the sidebar by January 29th, 2015 to be in the running for one of our prizes!   All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

When linking your layouts, please make sure it is linked to the specific post your layout is in, not your blog as a whole as it can be hard for our team to find your layout, especially if you blog often. You can also link from any gallery including Facebook and Flickr. (Though we may not be able to comment in all forums.)

Feel free to combine this sketch challenge with other non-sketch challenges, such as colour challenges.

Please post a link back to Stuck?! Sketches on your blog entry for our challenge.  We would also love for you to share the sketch, too!

Thank you for visiting, we cannot wait to see what you create!
Laura
xoxo
