July 1st Part 2

July 1st Sketch

Good morning

I hope you've woken up to a beautiful new day in a new month.

Today we have a fun new sketch and Guest Designer to share with you. Our Guest Designer for July is Marelize Frisby.

Hi, my name is Marelize Frisby and I live in Perth, WA with my wonderful husband of 22 years and our two teenage children, Mark (19) and Joanne (17).

I’ve always been a crafty person and have tried my hand at many other creative hobbies. After a bit of prompting from a friend, I started scrapping in 2004 and during the last 3 to 4 years it turned into a serious addiction.

I don’t think I really have a specific style but my layouts tend to have clean uncluttered lines. I love trying out new techniques and making my own embellishments.

I am fortunate enough to have been published in Scrapbooking Memories and I’m currently ‘writing’ a series of ‘How To’ articles for the magazine which are appearing on a monthly basis. I have also been on the ‘Handmade by Suzanne’ design team since the shop opened in December 2009 and have been their DT co-ordinator for the last year or so.

I love scrapbooking with all my heart and would never want to lose my passion for it. I’ve met amazing people through this craft and would love to see more people get involved in it.

I am very excited to be a guest designer for Stuck Sketches this month as its one of my favourite sketch sites.

May Winners

Woah what a massive May was around here at Stuck?!. Just under 90 entries were submitted for our May sketches. How amazing!

Even more amazing is that the CT have managed to narrow down all of those to just 4 winners for our sponsor prizes.

I do want to give out 2 honorable mentions this month as well. As our sponsors are Australian based, unfortunately this excludes our international entrants. But these 2 entrants received quite a number of votes from our CT and I want to highlight them today as well.
