Fresh Face

Sorry we were away for a few days between introductions, a funny little thing called life got in the way.

Today we are introducing new CT member, Helen Kinsela.

And a few things Helen had to say about herself:

Hi, I'm Helen (aka "countryscrapper" in some circles) and I collect paper and pretty things! Sometimes, all the lovely papers and pretties make their way onto scrapbook pages so I guess you could call me a scrapper LOL. I think I've always dabbled in papercrafts of some kind or another, but I caught the scrapping bug 7 years ago whilst pregnant with my first child and I haven't looked back (although I'm sure my long-suffering husband wishes otherwise).

The subjects of my pages are most often my 2 children, Caitlin (7) and Ciaran (5) and the aforementioned hubby, Marty. This playing with paper hobby has also led to a keen interest in photography, a natural progression of course, and so I find myself guilty of taking photos for the purposes of scrapping those memories rather than just for memory's sake. Surely I'm not the lone ranger here ...?

We live and work on our family farm in Central West NSW which encompasses a large cropping and grazing enterprise, so farm and business life for us is never dull or boring. It can be extremely challenging and stressful at times, but it is a lifestyle that we love and appreciate and wouldn't swap for quids.

For some crazy reason I decided last year that being a stay-at-home-mum, housewife and farmers wife (read: farm office work, farm "go-fer", personal secretary etc) wasn't enough so I took the plunge and Red Earth Scrapping was born. This little baby of mine is an online papercrafting business incorporating a shop, forum & gallery, and I also hold workshops with some local ladies at home. It allows me to combine my passion with a home based business and so far, despite being relatively small, it's all good. I extend a warm invitation to you all to pop in and say hi at Red Earth Scrapping and browse the shop where I'm sure you'll find a heap of great products at great prices.

Red Earth Scrapping has been a regular sponsor of Stuck?! Sketches and now that I have been honoured with the chance to join the Stuck Creative Team I am even more proud to be involved with two fabulous scrapping sites. I look forward to the sketches each month and hope I can bring you all a little inspiration with my work.

And finally, Helen's take on the CT application sketch:
