March 1st Sketch

Good morning!

Welcome to Autumn, or if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring. A new season brings a whole host of new photos to scrap. Why not use the below sketch as a jumping point to get you started. Here at Stuck, the new season also means the start of a new Creative Team and the announcement of our March Guest Designer.

Kerryn Fry
My name is Kerryn. I am an Adelaide girl living in the suburbs with my fiancee Shane and son Harrison.

I was originally dragged into scrapbooking by my mother nearly 8 years ago. It only really became an addiction in 2007.

At the moment I am designing for Scrapbook Savvy and 2 Crafty Chipboard but in the past I have created for Bella Blvd, 123 Challenge, Kraft It Up and Scrap The Boys.

I love creating pages from Stuck?! Sketches, so a big thank you to Sara for asking me to be a guest designer for this month.

CT Introductions - Part 4

And last but certainly not least, we have our final CT introductions for the new team. Tonight, we are getting to know Jess, Tarrah, Tess and Tomomi.

Jess Mackenzie

Hiya, My name is Jess. I'm a SAHM to an awesome 3 year old boy Elijah! I am currently on the my2angels design team. I've had one publication in Scrapbooking Memories and have quite a few that have been accepted for publication this year!! I've been scrapbooking for 2 years and LOVE it. I also love making hair accessories, art journalling & painting. I Love the fact that even when my mojo has gone awol, I can look at a Stuck?! sketch and get the creative juices flowing. Hopefully I will be able to bring some fun & colourful layouts to the team! Love and Peace xox

Tarrah McLean
My name is Tarrah McLean, I am 34 and live on the NSW's Central Coast with my hubby Simon and our two adorable boys Luke- 6 and Oliver- 1.

I have been scrapbooking for 6 years and couldn't imagine life without it!!! My style has evolved quite a lot since I started scrapbooking and still does evolve with new trends and techniques I like to try. I would describe my style as eclectic with nearly always having chipboard and handmade embellishments on my layouts when I create.

I have been lucky enough to have had many of my layouts published in Australia's Scrapbooking Memories magazine with my most exciting news being that I received Honourable Mentions for my layouts in 2010 and 2011 Masters competitions.

I currently love being a part of the Kraft It Up Creative Team and I'm also so thrilled to be a part of the Stuck?! team too, thank you so much for having me Sara. I look forward to working with all the other amazingly talented ladies and hopefully inspiring you with my layouts.

Tess Pretty
Hi, my name is Tess and I live on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. I live with my gorgeous fiancé Austin and our Border Collie Echo. I work full time as an Administration Manager for a trucking company.

I have been seriously scrapbooking now for 4 years and find it is a wonderful way to relax at the end of the working day. My subjects are the people in my life. My nieces and nephews, my friends and their children, my gorgeous border collie Echo and my fiancé Austin, along with the places we visit and the things we do.

I love that scrapbooking is as creative as you want it to be and is forever changing, as is my style. It gives me a chance to capture my life in photos then tell my story. And my camera is never far from reach.

I have recently had layouts picked up by Scrapbooking Memories magazine and guest designed for Scrapbook Savvy twice. This is my first Creative Team position and I am more than thrilled to be working with so many talented ladies.

Tomomi Hiramaru
Hi, my name is Tomomi.
I live in Japan with my wonderful husband and lovely two daughters(7 years old and 4 years old).
I have been scrapbooking since 2006. I am totally absorbed in Scrapbooking;)
I love pattern papers, chipboards, pearl chain, flowers and "pop and cute" style.
And I love knitting, a dried flower arrangement, sewing, camping and the time to spend with my family.

I am very happy and honored to be joining Stuck?! Creative Team!!!

Join us tomorrow, first thing in the morning, when our March 1st sketch and new CT samples will be revealed.

CT Introductions - Part 2

More CT introductions for you tonight. Today we are getting to know Kim, Kylie and Linda.

Kim Ewins
I'm a married stay at home mum of 8 children. My kiddies range in age from 22yrs down to 5yrs. The eldest is no longer at home and the 2nd eldest attends uni. This year sees my baby heading of to BIG school....(sob!). I've been scrapping for almost five years and I'm pleased with the way my style is developing.
I am a current DT member for CRAFTQUEEN, a new challenge blog called Scrap That Song and I am also on the CT over at Challenge Heaven.

Kylie Symons
I live in a small town in Australia called Tumut. I have lived my whole life basically in this country town and I love the peace and serenity which surrounds us. I am married to my school friend sweetheart Andrew and we share three beautiful daughters- Kayley,  Emma and Bridget. I have been scrapping since 2007 and I love a great challenge and enjoy trying different techniques. I do like to use bright and bold colours on my layouts which might make me stand out from the rest-LOL . I love to cut up pp and use a lot of chipboard and embellishments on my layouts. I do mainly scrap 12x12.

Linda Zanotto

Hi, my name is Linda and I have been scrapbooking for about 8 years.

I love scrapbooking for many reasons, one being the friendships I have made through the craft and the valuable time I get to spend with these girls at crops and retreats. I love trying new techniques as well as being inspired by the many talented scrapbookers out there to create a page that is still unique. Scrapbooking brings out my creative side and enables me to have some "me" time away from the "everyday stuff". I am also able to capture my favourite memories, especially my children.

I have two boys, Jared (4) and Mason (1) and I am married to a very understanding man who supports my passion for scrapbooking and my other passion - running.

I hope that you are enjoying getting to know our new CT members. Still a few more to introduce over the next few days.

CT Introductions - Part 1

Good morning!

Over the next few days, we are going to be getting to know of our Autumn / Winter Creative Team a little bit better. The girls all have such a different mix of styles, it's going to be a great 6 months with something to inspire everyone.

Today we are getting to know Celeste, Debbie and Gilly.

Celeste Vermeend

I have been scrapbooking for almost 8 years. I first scrapbooked my baby twins premature birth and their stay in hospital. It was a stressful and emotional time and I felt I needed to document it more creatively and that led me to my local scrapbook store. The rest is history!

I am now a mother to five. Having had two more little ones after my twins and oldest daughter. I live a busy and chaotic life that I wouldn’t have any other way – most of the time! My love of scrapbooking eventually led to photography. And I now run a small business from home and I love it.

Up until my last two children were born I had been regularly published in all three Australian scrapbooking magazines. I have held a DT position on the now defunct For Keeps magazine. I was also a Scrapbooking Memories Master in 2008. I no longer submit my layouts for publishing preferring instead to enter online challenges. I feel honoured to be a part of the Stuck Sketches design team and am very grateful for the opportunity to step back into a designing role after quite a long absence.

Debbie Smith
I live in Adelaide with my husband, three-year-old son and four-year-old daughter, and every morning is like feeding time at the zoo! (I'm not really a morning person, ahem).
I love the photo-a-day project which I’ve been doing for two years, with both my Canon and my i-Phone, and then styling up or grunging down the photos in Photoshop Elements afterwards. I do a double page in my album with these photos each week. I’ve been scrapbooking for four years, and love it more and more every day. I love the joy of creating and playing with new techniques, as well as the satisfaction of recording our story.

I'm hard to categorise: sometimes I like to make very very simple pages with just a photo and a few page elements and other times they're crazy messy. I often add a bit of digi-scrapping elements such as overlays directly on my photo prints so lots of my pages are sort of hybrid. But I love all things papercraft including stamping, making cards and homemade mini books. You'll see bright colours, textures, paint splats and a little retro or vintage twist on my pages. I am not shy about upcycling found objects or raiding my kids’ craft stash. I like making my own titles and embellishments with scraps and leftovers – inking them, stamping them, embossing them, painting them, even covering them with fabric and patterned papers.

Gillian Lester

Hi my name is Gillian Lester (Gilly), I'm a wife to Ben and a mother to Amelia-Jane (Milly) who is 7 years old and very scrap abused.

I've been scrapping for over 7 years now, and it is very much a part of life.I work and teach at Fred The Needle a scrapbooking store in Penrith NSW.

I have been very lucky in my scrapping adventures so far, as I my part of the Scrapbooking Diva's for Scrapbook Creations Magazine, in which I have had over 60 items published, from Front Cover, Off The Page, Cards, layouts to step by step projects. I am also part of the WOW Chipboard Design Team which has been part of my life for over a year and a half now.

I have made lots of great friend through scrapping, as scrappers are a breed of their own, where else can you wet yourself laughting and create a piece history at the same time.
Just a little reminder that there is only 4 days left to enter the February sketches. We have 50 entries already, can we hit 60 or maybe even 70?

February 15th Sketch

Good morning.

It's wonderful to see so many people taking part in the February 1st sketch already. I hope to see many more before the end of the month and plenty of entries for the sketch below as well.

The February 15th sketch marks the final reveal for some of our Creative Team members as their terms come to an end. Whether they have been on the team for 6 months or for years, it's always hard to farewell someone from the team. From today's reveal, we are saying goodbye to Charmane, Felicity, Raquel and Tara. I wish these girls all the very best for their future scrappy adventures.

Now onto the sketch and reveal.
