AND thank you to Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits, who are also sponsoring this challenge, offering a prize pack to a second lucky participant!

Boys Rule is a kit club that creates scrapbook kits with masculine elements and products so you can easily scrapbook/craft for your boy subjects. Here you will find a great bunch of gals who love to create and share. Boys Rule also has challenges each month, and we hope you join in with your creations!

ALSO, We want to show you how much we appreciate that you play along with us and share your designs and talent with us so we will be choosing one scrapbooker from each challenge to guest with us at a later date!  For example, our chosen scrapbooker from our September 1st challenge will guest for our November 1st challenge!

Now let's get started with the challenge, here is your sketch....

This week we have another guest designer joining us. Please join me in welcoming Sylvia!!

I will let Sylvia tell you a bit about herself....

"Hi, My name is Sylvia van der Steen (nickname Scrapsylz), I live in the Netherlands with my DH of 32 years. I am addicted to scrapbooking ever since I stepped into a craftstore some 10 years ago, when I was looking for a Christmas gift. I prefer to make layouts at 12x12 inch, occasionally I do some cards or mini albums. The vintage/shabby chique style is what I love most, but I also love to try new techniques. My style has shifted over the years and at the moment I’m more into using inks, paste and stencils or masks on my layouts. I have a go-to brand that I use all the time and am addicted to distress products. I am blessed to have my own craftroom, where I can make a mess every day and I have my own blogspot, where I can showcase my work!
Apart from scrapbooking I love to travel a lot and take photos. Being a GDT here at Stuck?! Sketches is quite an honour for me and I would like to thank Laura and the DT for having me. I hope I can inspire you to create your own art!"

Here is Sylvia's layout based on our sketch.

Thank you for joining us Sylvia and sharing your stunning layout with us!

For this challenge we are partnering up with Scrap it with a Song,  they have chosen "Octopus Garden" by the Beatles as their inspiration song, you can find out all of the details about how to play along with their challenge over o their blog.  Some of our team has chosen to play along, too!  So lets have a look at our gorgeous DT reveals (in alphabetical order!)....

Cassie
I listened to the song and looked up the lyrics and then flipped through my printed photos. When I found these pictures from our trip to a water park this last summer, I knew they would be perfect. We didn’t encounter any wildlife, but it was impossible to get my daughter out of the water during our visit!

Dana
I was inspired by some of the song lyrics from "Octopus Garden" and used them as my journaling.

 Devra
My inspiration is that it is a Beatles song, the photo is from the Paul McCartney concert. The small photo is the set list which includes many Beatles songs

 Janice
I took a lot of inspiration from the song challenge on this page! My photos are from a Caribbean cruise we took in 2005. The products are water and beach themed. And my title is a variation on the first line of the song to "out to sea" rather than "under the sea." This was fun!

 Kumiko

Mandy
I was inspired by the underwater theme of the song "Octopus Garden".

Sandy
I went with the Happy theme of the song and used lots of bright colours - And an alligator garden is close to an Octopus Garden....don't you think???

Laura
I had to do a little research to learn a little more about the song so that I could use it for inspiration.  I found out the song contains the lyrics "Oh what joy for every girl and boy/Knowing they're happy and they're safe," So that and the title became inspiration for me.  These photos were taken at a fish sanctuary not far from our home - not quite the same as an Octopus Garden, but it works.  And the lyrics about happy safe children, also speaks to these photos, as our youngest son is loving tossing sticks into the water and watching them float downstream.  There is something magical about watching children play, explore and be adventurous when they know they are safe with their parents nearby.

Please link up your layouts over in the sidebar by November 29th to be in the running for one of our prizes!   All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

When linking your layouts, please make sure it is linked to the specific post your layout is in, not your blog as a whole as it can be hard for our team to find your layout, especially if you blog often. You can also link from any gallery including Facebook and Flickr. (Though we may not be able to comment in all forums.)

Feel free to combine our sketch challenge with other non-sketch challenges, such as colour challenges.

Please post a link back to Stuck?! Sketches on your blog entry for our challenge.  We would also love for you to share the sketch, too!

Thank you for visiting, we cannot wait to see what you create!
Laura
